About

I have spent my life following my heart.  After college I lived on the road as a rock climber.  I worked odd jobs traveling my way across the country.  I lived out of my car in national parks known for climbing and eventually made my way into Baja Mexico to surf. Meditating watching the sun set over the Pacific Ocean I came to the conclusion that I had been gifted in many ways and that I would find more contentment in my life if I did something with those gifts.  I surrendered my lawn chair on the beach in Baja Mexico to the rigor of an osteopathic medical school. I felt it was the way to bridge my love of intuition, science and caring for others and to put the best parts of myself to use.  The majority of my wellness discoveries have come though my education and my own personal quest for self-healing. Currently I am a mother, a wife and a pediatrician and a true Osteopath practicing in Texas and living part time in New Mexico.  As a birth warrior I am also involved with many of the central/south Texas midwives as a physician liaison.

Over the past few years, I have developed a passion for the study of embodiment and the way it relates to healing.  I am particularly interested in the Soul Motion practice of conscious dance and have begun my journey teaching in San AntonioKim Family Session.

Medical Education at UNTHSC-TCOM 2004-2008; Pediatric residency at Dell Children’s Austin 2008-2011.  Soul Motion Embodied Leadership 2020/Teacher Training 2022 (in process). Holistic training developed privately through self study/personal journey with chronic illness.
